The Grant Museum

Tomorrow the Grant Museum of Zoology - one of the world's oldest natural history collections - reopens in its new home Rockefeller Building in University Street, a former library of University College London (UCL). If you like your animals stuffed, pickled or denuded of flesh, this is the museum for you. It took staff eight months to transfer and reorganise 68000 dead animals. BBC News science reporter Neil Bowdler and a video team went along for a preview (title link). He forget to mention that on launch day (tomorrow) the museum will be open from 1pm to 8pm, when museum staff will be on-hand to chat about the exhibits. New technology allows you to download data and interact with displays. If you can't make launch day, consider this venue for your budding Darwins over the Easter Holiday. Admission is free.
