RA Denial

The Royal Academy of Arts has issued a statement denying that David Hockney had criticised Moneybags Hirst for using a team of about 100 employees to do most of the work on his purported artworks (title link). "The Royal Academy wishes to make it clear that, contrary to some recent press reports, David Hockney has not made any comments which imply criticism of another artist's working practices. Nor are there any words to this effect on the poster promoting his forthcoming exhibition at the Royal Academy of Arts." The exhibition David Hockney RA: A Bigger Picture opens on 21 January and runs until 9 April (CLICK for video). Above is a Hockney landscape used as a banner ad for the show. To the left is Damien Hirst. Miffed? No, doing his thing for the press.
