Crosby Garrett Helmet

It's just been announced that the Crosby Garrett Helmet, a Roman cavalry helmet found in a Cumbrian field in 2010 and sold the same year at Christie's auction house for £2.2m, is to be included in the forthcoming Royal Academy of Arts exhibition Bronze, which opens on 15 September. This will be the first time the helmet has been on public display (CLICK). The exhibition is ambitious and well worth visiting, but it costs an arm and a leg. CLICK for my preview, which shows two more of the exhibits.
