Yinka's Fabric-ation

Remember that irritating TV commercial for Foxy It seems to have inspired Yinka Shonibare to create an even more irritating sculpture: Revolution Kid (Fox Boy) 2012, complete with golden pistol. The statue bears his hallmark bad taste in garish African textiles. It's one of 30 of his works being exhibited at Yorkshire Sculpture Park, some of which have never been seen in the UK before and hopefully won't be seen again. They're in the Underground Gallery, the YSP Centre, the Chapel and open air. Yinka Shonibare MBE: FABRIC-ATION runs until 1 September (CLICK).
