Paul Delvaux

Having noticed a couple of Paul Delvaux paintings up for auction recently, I wondered when the last exhibition of his surrealist art was shown. The answer, according to Blain|Di Donna, is 1969 in the USA. Today the gallery in Madison Avenue in New York opened an exhibition of over twenty of his oil paintings and watercolours from the mid-1930s to the mid-1960s, borrowed from the Paul Delvaux Foundation. The exhibition runs until 1 June, then moves to the Blain|Di Donna gallery at 6 Hill Street in London. It opens on 18 June and runs until 17 July (CLICK). Shown is Paul Delvaux's Bathing Nymphs (1938).
