Tudor Copies

Here's another exhibition that opened in London yesterday: Hans Holbein Re-made: copies and versions of portraits from the Tudor court. This free exhibition in Room 3 of the National Portrait Gallery brings together a selection of the Gallery's collection of paintings that faithfully mimicked both the composition and colouration of Hans Holbein the Younger's original portraits. Shown is Thomas Cromwell, Earl of Essex, after Hans Holbein the Younger (CLICK).
