People's Portrait

Next Sunday Fiona Bruce introduces The People's Portrait, the first ever collaboration between the BBC and the National Portrait Gallery. Fiona spent three months following Falklands War hero Simon Weston OBE as he was painted by Nicky Philipps, who also painted the royal princes (CLICK) and the Queen (CLICK). Between visits to Nicky's studio, Simon's moving life story is revealed. He chose not to view the work in progress. Will he like it? Find out on BBC One next Sunday at 17:35 ... er ... 5.35pm (CLICK).
