Windows XP RIP

Today sees the end of Microsoft's support for Windows XP, which Bill Gates launched in 2001. As 20% to 30% of computer buffs are still using Windows XP worldwide, this is a huge disruption. I myself paid extra to have Windows XP Professional installed on my computer to avoid being lumbered with that ghastly mess Vista. The worst of the problem is that not just home users are under attack. Small businesses, libraries, the British civil service and even many of the world's bank cash machines are still running Windows XP. The UK government has signed a £5.5m deal with Microsoft for extended support of XP, to gain time to update. There should be a law against such monopolies. Microsoft is rich enough as it is (CLICK, CLICK).
