The Futurist View

If you're into Italian Futurism, here's the exhibition for you. Today the Estorick Collection of Modern Italian Art in London opened Gerardo Dottori: The Futurist View (CLICK). Fifty paintings and drawings from public and private collections, most never seen in the UK before, have been brought together to show the career of a leading light in Italian Futurism. Dottori was one of the earliest painters to explore the newfound possibilities of "aeropainting", capturing striking views of landscapes from above. Shown is Lake Dawn (1942) lent by the Collezione Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Perugia. The show runs until 7 September, admission £5 for adults, £3.50 for silver surfers. The gallery is a "Quality Assured Visitor Attraction".
