Paddington Trail

Hugh Bonneville introduced a plethora of Paddington Bear statues near Tower Bridge today as a publicity stunt for the arrival of Paddington in cinemas on 28 November. Fifty of these statues, decorated by a host of celebrities, will be spread around central London to form The Paddington Trail. Benedict Cumberbatch painted a Sherlock Paddington. Emma Watson said it with butterflies. These statues will be sold to raise money for the NSPCC. CLICK for details, maps and a movie trailer. I must say the movie looks like dreadful tripe. And why does Paddington arrive naked? Part of his charm was his sou'wester, wellies and duffel coat to protect him from the British weather.
