Hampton Court

Hampton Court Palace in Richmond, London, is celebrating its 500th anniversary. It was rebuilt in 1515 by Cardinal Wolsey, who required a state-of-the-art Tudor palace to reflect his wealth and power. When he fell out of favour with Henry VIII, the king requisitioned the property and declared it a royal palace in 1530. The celebrations will include a 25-minute light show on the south facade (CLICK).
