Happy Birthday Miffy
Here's continuity with skates on! I've just opened my V&A newsletter to discover that the opening exhibition at the V&A Museum of Childhood is Happy Birthday Miffy, a bright and colourful exhibition celebrating Miffy's 50th birthday, from 9 December 2006 to 18 March 2007. If you want minimalist art that speaks volumes, then Netherlands author and artist Dick Bruna is the guy for you. How he gets so much character and cuteness into a drawing which is little more than one solid line and a couple of dots is beyond me. Brilliant! If Prof. Schama ever gets round to doing a The Power of Miffy show, I might start taking him seriously as an art critic. The museum reopens at noon.

Send her/him a SAGA catalogue.
Schama or Miffy?
Miffy of course.
Schama needs a Residential Care Home catalogue.
I agree he needs to retire, but not to a care home so he can bore all the old folks into an early grave! That's sadistic.
Hey, AdSense has been doing some weird things lately, but it came up trumps with Miffy. The ad. on this page is "Miffy, cute little rabbit"! I always thought he was a hare: those ears!
