Pest Control Update

Banksy - Where's Hollywood?Following my story on Banksy's stolen rat nearly a week ago, here are some more facts the English Tourist Board doesn't want you to know. In London, you're never more than 20 yards (18 metres) from a rat! Pest controllers report a 39% increase in call-outs to deal with brown rats - as big as Yorkies - from 1999 to 2005 (CLICK). With no help from Banksy, London's rat population is soaring. Mice too. Newham General Hospital in east London has recently closed a ward due to an infestation of mice and cockroaches (CLICK). Supermarket chain Asda is facing a £20.000 fine (peanuts!) for letting mice nibble chocolate bars in its Lavender Hill branch (CLICK). Today's news is that Legionella bugs have been found in the officers' mess at Wellington Barracks, home of those elite soldiers who guard Buckingham Palace (CLICK). And don't forget London's population of Muslim suicide bombers, six of whom (alleged) are currently on trial (CLICK). Are you sure you want to come here for the 2012 Olympics?
