New London Art Comp?

London International Creative Competition logo (detail)What's a L.I.C.C.? It stands for London International Creative Competition, which invites "passionate visual artists" to cough up £15 (£10 for students) to submit their artworks to a panel of "luminaries of the visual arts" for possible publication in the "annual LICC book" and a possible showing at a London exhibition in September. Call me cynical, but my first thought is: "Hello, hello, hello, hello." My second thought is "I wonder what Bogus Art Fairs thinks about L.I.C.C.?" (See my links.) If I were you, I'd wait to see what tripe the "luminaries" select for display at the exhibition in London in September.
