UK Budget Day: 14p more duty on a bottle of wine! By sheer coincidence, here's a wine label to admire. This illustration of a Californian castle by Michael Halbert, commissioned for a new wine label - the Castello di Amorosa Winery in Napa Valley, California -, is a beautiful example of scraper board art (called scratch board in the USA). Michael's record of this project is well worth reading, because it details the work involved, from photos, through 3D architectural renderings, pencil sketches and revisions to the final scraper board, which is shown in finer detail than I can reproduce here in 8Kb (CLICK).
