Nude Photo: $1.6m

If you think $1.5m is expensive for an oversized banana, how about $1.6m for a boring old black-and-white "art" photo by Edward Weston: Nude? Somebody bought it at that record price at Sotheby’s New York auction of The Quillan Collection of 19th and 20th Century Photographs. The collection sold for nearly $9m and set 19 records.
