Art Monthly Nude Row
Aussie PM Kevin Rudd has thrown another wobbler, this time over the July cover of Art Monthly Australia, which shows a photo of a naked young girl superimposed over a painting of a coastal scene (CLICK). "Frankly, I can't stand this stuff," he raved, proving yet again that he's a Philistine who's insensitive to the feelings of the young models he insults with his tirades against nudity in art. But this time a model hit back! Olympia Nelson, now 11, says she is "really offended" by Rudd's comments and that she loves this photo taken by her mum - Melbourne photographer Polixeni Papapetrou - when she was six. Good for you for speaking out, Olympia. It's your feelings that count. You sound a lot more grown up and schooled in art than does Rudd.
