Byzantine Art at RA

The Royal Academy of Arts in London has announced its Autumn biggy: the first UK exhibition of Byzantine Art since 1958. Byzantine art may be primitive, but its artifacts are rich and varied. BBC News has posted an online gallery of seven of these ancient treasures (title link). Judging by the credits, the 300 exhibits for this once-in-a-lifetime show will be borrowed from around the world. Watch out for it in October.
