Ukiyo-e Revealed

This is short notice, but I only just received the news. Next Sunday 14 December the V&A Museum in London will host a free demonstration of traditional Japanese colour printing by members of Japan's Adachi Institute of Woodcut Prints: Ukiyo-e Revealed. This will be in Seminar Room 1 of the new Sackler Centre, from 2pm to 4pm. The most famous master of this technique was and still is Katsushika Hokusai. Here is his Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji: The Great Wave off the Coast of Kanagawa. This event is supported by the Great Britain Sasakawa Foundation, the Daiwa Anglo-Japanese Foundation and Japan-UK 150.
