Infiltrator

Compare this truly modern sculpture - Infiltrator (2009) by US artist Dana Major Kanovitz - with the works I've linked to in the next post down and you'll see why I believe the Brit. Anti-art Establishment has dug British sculpture into a pit from which it will take decades to escape. Kanovitz's life-sized Infiltrator, made of paper pulp over steel armature with oil paint, human and horse hair and mixed media, is fresh and interesting and demonstrates artistic talent, more than can be said for the "sculptures" in the RA show. Click the title link to visit Kanovitz's website and view more of her artwork.
