The $106.5m Nude

Tate Passé in London has put on display the world's most expensive painting ever sold at auction: Pablo Picasso's Nude, Green Leaves and Bust (1932) which sold for $106.5m (£65.5m) at Christie's New York auction last year. The painting distorts Picasso's young mistress Marie-Therese Walter. The owner wishes to remain anonymous. I don't blame him or her. The person who wasted £65.5m on this tasteless tripe needs an urgent visit from the taxman. Some redistribution of wealth clearly wouldn't go amiss in this case.
