Clockwork Forest

I do not believe it! Behold The Clockwork Forest, an interactive "art" installation thingy which can be wound up to play music. It's on the Ridding Wood Trail in Grizedale Forest, Cumbria. This insane project received £80,000 from South Lakeland Council and £95,000 from the Arts Council. Give me strength. The last thing I want to hear during a woodland stroll is bloody music. It's obviously time the Arts Council budget was slashed again, when it can waste money on tripe like this (title link).

I wonder if you have actually seen this? Or played with it?

How can you justify such criticism without any idea of the work itself?

It doesnt fill the forest with music. Theres 6000 acres of forest to explore. This is on a sensory trail, that caters for disabled people and those of all ages that enjoy art.

You are entitled to an opinion. But it is an ignorant one.

Own up, Andrew. Are you the alleged artist?

It's a stupid idea. It isn't art. And it cost a fortune that could have been better spent on something more worthwhile. It's tripe like this that makes me despair of the Arts Council.
