Congratulations to Andy Murray for winning the US Open in the Arthur Ashe Stadium at Flushing Meadows. I don't usually comment on sport, but how can one ignore the first British mens US Open Singles Champion since Fred Perry achieved this feat 76 years ago? The epic battle lasted four hours 54 minutes and had the audience on its feet as the final shots were played out. This is the cherry on top of the cake only one day after the hugely successful London 2012 Summer Olympics and Paralympics came to an end with yesterday's Victory Parade.
