Sundial Thieves Jailed

Here are the two useless twerps who stole a Henry Moore sundial sculpture worth £500,000 from The Henry Moore Foundation in Much Hadham on 10 July (CLICK). Liam Hughes (left) and Jason Parker had the cheek to go back the following night and steal a bronze plinth too. They sold the sundial to a scrap metal dealer for £46 and the plinth to the same dealer for £182.60. He notified the police following a Crimewatch appeal. Yesterday, Judge Marie Catterson at St Albans Crown Court sentenced each of them to one year in prison, ironically the same day that cash sales for scrap metal were banned by law (CLICK).
