
Is it mere coincidence that BBC News is publicising an auction of Andy Warhol’s complete set of ten screenprints of
Endangered Species at the same time that CITES is grabbing headlines in Bangkok (
CLICK)? The prints are in the Pop Art section of Sotheby's London sale of Old Master, Modern & Contemporary Prints, which takes place on 19 March (
CLICK). They're rubbish, of course, but Sotheby’s expects them to make £250,000 to £300,000, because Andy Warhol is a Big Name. Shown is Warhol's attempt at an
Orangutan, but I'm guessing; it could be Eric Pickles MP wearing a ginger wig.
