McCall's Flasher

A week ago I posted news that Leena McCall's Portrait of Ms Ruby May, Standing had been removed from the Society of Women Artists’ annual exhibition at the Mall Galleries as too rude for the venue (CLICK). The removal of this painting caused an international Twitter storm of protest from feminists who think that a female flasher is a legitimate statement of female sexuality (CLICK). Would they support a male flasher next time one is dragged into court? The Leyden Gallery in London has stepped into the breech and will include Leena McCall's pipe-smoking flasher in its Summer Salon, from 11 to 26 July (CLICK).
