Tower Poppies

Historic Royal Palaces is remembering the centenary of the outbreak of World War I with a massive art installation thingy at the Tower of London: Blood Swept Lands and Seas of Red (2014). With the help of volunteers, ceramic artist Paul Cummins and theatre stage designer Tom Piper are creating a spectacle of 888,246 ceramic poppies, one for each British and Colonial fatality during the war. These poppies will be sold for charity (CLICK).
