Brock Butchery

A second year of badger slaughter has begun in Somerset and Gloucestershire in a pathetic attempt to eradicate bovine TB, despite the fact that the attempt is useless, expensive and inhumane and scientists have given it the bum's rush. DEFRA says it's okay, but you can take that with a pinch of salt (CLICK). The fact is before the last election David Cameron promised the National Farmers' Union (NFU) he would bring in this cull if he were elected. As a toff, he knows the value of keeping farmers content. I agree that when cattle on a farm are infected, it makes sense to kill the badgers too; but to cull badgers willy-nilly is insane.
