Garden Bridge

Here's an artist's impression of the proposed Garden Bridge across the Thames designed by Thomas Heatherwick. Lambeth Council and Westminster City Council have now both approved planning permission and the Treasury and Transport for London have agreed to pay £30 million each toward the cost. That's £60 million out of a massive £175 million, which would make it the most expensive footbridge in the world. There are other ifs and buts.
