BBC leads UK Anti Art Movement

BBC Art - Tweenies Messy Time
Prompted by BBC1's dire tripe on Monet yesterday (The Impressionists), I revisited the BBC's shyly hidden arts page today, to see if any improvements have been made since I last slammed it. It's worse! The prettiest thing on the page is Mick Jagger! (The Sixties Photographic Gallery of beautiful people is as close as this page gets to art.) Even more worrying is that Aunty is now wasting licence-payers' money on paying alleged artists to produce pathetic daubs for another of its online galleries. As for external links to the world's art treasures, it selects MOMA, Guggenheim, Baltic and Tate Modern! The BBC's schizophrenic thinking is to redefine art as something any slob can do while it maintains its elitist role as the Judge Dread of aesthetics. Talk about the Emperor's clothes! This is Anti Art in a nutshell.
P.S. With a humble touch of the forelock toward Aunty Dread, dare I point out that Van Gogh is generally regarded as an expressionist painter, not an impressionist?
