Tits in Space

Bag with Shrigley woodcut (2005) and Sarah Lucas' Tits in Space (2000)Shopping bags made today's news in New York too. In conjunction with the exhibition Eye on Europe, MoMA has produced a new shopping bag with a design by David Shrigley; the vinyl version is now on sale in MoMA Stores for $25! MoMA must be joking! Any concession for silver surfers? Even worse, MoMA has draped the Rockefeller Center concourse columns in wallpaper by the likes of Damien Hirst, Peter Kogler, and Sarah Lucas, all with the patronizing aim of bringing Euro art to the Yanks. Aw, MoMA Mia! If Sarah's Tits in Space wallpaper (2000) is anything to go by, I'll stick with Regency stripes. Click the title to read MoMA's asinine guff.

But you've got to admit it's a catchy title. I'm waiting for the follow up: buttocks in space.
