BP Portrait Award

Here's your chance to spot the winner of the BP Portrait Award 2007. Out of 1,870 registered entries, 60 portraits have been selected for the exhibition in the National Portrait Gallery's Wolfson Gallery, from 14 June to 16 September 2007. Admission is free. The four short-listed artists are:
Johan Andersson - Tamara
Paul Emsley - Michael Simpson
David Lawton - Stephen
Hynek Martinec - Zuzana in Paris Studio.
So who will win? My guess is Paul Emsley for Michael Simpson, because judges tend to favour Face as Landscape. But I'm impressed by Hynek Martinec for catching the reflections in Zuzana's spectacles; they make her face come alive. Click the title link to see all four finalists and make your own decision.
