Boy Scouts Centenary II
Here's a stronger comparison of the styles of Norman Rockwell and Pierre Joubert when depicting scouts. Rockwell's sensitive and charming The Right Way (1955), illustrating a star scout showing two cub scouts how to build a nesting box, was designed for adults. There's a distinct Ahhhh factor for the American Mom. Joubert's dramatic comic-book style depicting boy scouts as adventuring heroes rafting white water was aimed at ... guess who? Boys. Both are beautiful works of art, but what a difference in style!
