Sphinx at Chatsworth

Yet again the gardens at Chatsworth are hosting a Sotheby's "selling exhibition". Beyond Limits opened on 8 September and continues until 4 November 2007. The most noteworthy piece on offer is a three-metres-high painted bronze version of Marc Quinn's statue of Kate Moss doing her yoga: Myth (Sphinx). Moneybags Hirst's revolting monster The Virgin Mother is also there. Just ignore it. And there's a cow masquerading as a television set by Francois-Xavier Lalanne. Got a few bob to spare?
