Anti-art Hits Freud

William Cobbing - Tubeman (2007)If you're into psychobabble and pretentious anti-art, this is the exhibition for you: William Cobbing's solo exhibition Gradiva Project at The Freud Museum in London. It opened yesterday and continues until 27 January 2008. Admission fees at £5 or £3 (concessions) are an absolute ripoff for this cobblers. If you're still in a tizzy over your Oedipus complex (or your Electra complex if you're a girl) avoid this show like the plague. The sponsors include Arts Council England: the embodiment of the death wish in art. Why on earth does Government keep giving this mob our taxes? Philistines!
