Handasah Exhibition?

Zarah Hussain - Handasah Graphic (2007)One of the failings of the William Morris Gallery website is that it doesn't have a What's On page. Ironically, I received this graphic for Zarah Hussain's Handasah exhibition from Keep Our Museums Open (CLICK), not from the William Morris Gallery (title link) or from Waltham Forest Council, which runs the gallery. So I haven't a clue what this is about. Oh, come on, Waltham Forest. What's the point of mounting an exhibition if you don't even mention it on the gallery website?

It's very odd - Lorna says she's promoting it but when you go the William Morris Website, or to the Waltham Forest website it isn't there!

It's hardly difficult or costly to update a few lines on the website.

Sorry about the delay in posting your comment. It must have been blocked by my spam filter and I've just found it awaiting moderation in Blogger.

I think Lorna is planning a major rewrite of the William Morris Gallery website. I'm dubious about this for three reasons:

1) A complete rewrite of the website is going to be costly and there is no guarantee it will be better.

2) I like the current website design, but want to see it updated regularly and have extra pages added, such as a What's On Page.

3) I can't see how a programmer can redesign the webite until he knows where the Gallery itself is going. Is there to be a Weddings Page?

In the meantime, as you say, it's hardly difficult or costly to add a page to show the current exhibition.

Why isn't it being done?
