Virgin Galactic

Here's an anonymous artist's elegant impression of Sir Richard Branson's latest project, already under way: Virgin Galactic, a launch system that will take eight fare-paying millionaires into space at a time. (I assume they'll need to be millionaires to afford the tickets.) Their trips will be sub-orbital only and are expected to take off in 2010. I think I'll wait for Virgin Intergalactic, providing the trip takes no more than a week and I can carry on blogging in outer space.
