National Art Pass

In response to the UK Government's arts cutbacks, the Art Fund has announced an increase in funding from £4.5m to £7m to enable galleries and museums to buy works of art. To help it raise extra cash it has launched the National Art Pass, which costs £35 a year. The benefits include Art Fund membership, entry to special events, lectures, visits and private views, free entry to over 200 charging museums and galleries, 50% off admission to major exhibitions and free Art Quarterly magazine. Under 26's can buy a pass for £18.75. Considering the rising price of entry to big exhibitions, it might save you a fair sum of money. The devil is in the detail, of course. So do some research before you buy (title link).
