IE Users Not Thick

This morning BBC News posted a story that claimed users of Microsoft's Internet Explorer were less intelligent than those using other browsers. IE users had an average IQ of 80, the report claimed. This was manifest nonsense, because an IQ of 80 is the top end of imbecilic and IE still controls the largest share of the browser market. This would make most computer users idiots. IQ results should follow a normal curve of distribution (graphic above). The BBC now admits it was one of a number of news outlets that were hoaxed (title link).
