Art for Heroes

As today is Armistice Day, BBC Two is showing Art for Heroes: A Culture Show Special at 7pm. The programme examines the role of art therapy in the rehabilitation of ex-servicemen suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (CLICK). If you think the art is bound to be dire, take a closer look at Nick Hendry's superb watercolour Deliberation (2011) which won both the Chemring Prize at the Army Arts Society's Annual Exhibition and the Serving War Artist of the Year award (CLICK).
