More Olympic Mania

Here's another example of the UK's obsession with the London Summer Olympiad 2012, unveiled at the Olympic Stadium by 400m hurdles champion Sally Gunnell. Royal Mail plans to issue a Gold Medal Winner Stamp the day after a gold medal has been won by a member of Team GB. The stamp will feature the winner or winning team in action. Royal Mail staff will work round the clock to get the stamps into 500 UK post offices by lunchtime the next day (title link). I'm surprised they're not all threatening to go on strike for Olympic bonuses, as have the various workers on Transport for London. It's like a feeding frenzy of sharks.
