Louth Sausage

The Mayoress of Louth, Jill Makinson-Sanders, has been getting some flak for dressing up as a sausage to greet the Olympic Torch relay when it passed through the town. Some thought it made the town a laughing stock. Others thought the sausage looked too phallic for comfort. Rebuffing calls to resign, Jill defended her sausage by saying she wanted to publicize sausage-making in Louth. I'd never heard of the place, let alone knew it was big in bangers. So good for her. I wish my local Mayor was as enterprising. Jill has put Louth on the map. It's in Lincolnshire (CLICK).

What a brilliant Mayor. She got into the spirit of the Games whilst also publicising her town. Call for her to resign are just silly.

Yup. All mayors worth their salt should dress up as sausages.

I think it should be part of the Mayor duties for every Mayor across the country!

Absolutely! They look much sillier in their gold chains. Pompous too.
