Dalí at Bonhams

Here's a sculpture Elephant de Triomphe that is instantly recognisable as the work of Salvador Dalí. His spindly legged elephant represents hope, while the golden angel on its back heralds the triumph of hope. This is one of eight casts made, the first in 1984, and is inscribed "4/8". It stands almost 3 metre-thingies high and comes up for grabs in Bonhams Impressionist and Modern Art sale in London on 4 February with an estimated price tag of between £250,000 and £350,000 (CLICK).
