Art on ITV

It's a minor miracle: art on ITV. This evening (Sunday) at 10pm ITV London will show Perspectives - The Man in the Hat: Rene Magritte with Will Young. In this programme, the singer and actor travels to Magritte's native Belgium to find out more about a man whose trademark was a bowler hat and whose apparently conventional exterior concealed the mind of a subversive. Will has been fascinated by Rene Magritte since his teens. Shown is Magritte's Olympia (1948) depicting his wife Georgette with a shell on her stomach. Another episode sees Emeli Sandé on a pilgrimage to Mexico to research her idol Frida Kahlo (CLICK).
