Studio Ghibli

Japanese animated film-maker Studio Ghibli has announced a halt in production following the retirement of its lead director Hayao Miyazaki, who won an Oscar for Spirited Away in 2002 and an Oscar nomination for Howl's Moving Castle (2004). Miyazaki's work has been credited with bringing Japanese animation to a global audience. Co-founder Toshio Suzuki has said that Studio Ghibli will undergo an overhaul (CLICK). Let's hope it continues.
