Reality Check

From fat slobs on motor mowers to pretty majorettes flashing their pom-poms, Duane Hanson's lifesize realistic sculptures captured people as recognizably American as bison and chipmunks. Sotheby's S|2 London is currently showing Duane Hanson – Reality Check. This is the first solo exhibition of Hanson's works in London for 15 years. On display are Man On A Mower, High School Student, Bodybuilder, Bus Stop Lady and Baton Twirler (1971) shown here being manhandled by Sotheby's staff. The exhibition twirls until 7 November (CLICK).
