Stegosaurus

Yesterday the Natural History Museum in London unveiled the most complete Stegosaurus in the world. It stands in the Earth Hall on permanent display. It arrived at the Museum a year ago, but scientists have been prodding it and poking it behind the scenes since then to glean as much information as they can before assembling it for display. It was unearthed a decade ago by Bob Simon, who runs a dinosaur quarry on his Red Canyon Ranch in Wyoming, USA. Jeremy Herrmann plus 70 doners made the acquisition possible. It has been named Sophie Herrmann in honour of Jeremy’s daughter. CLICK for details and a time-lapse video of the assembly of Sophie.
