Kapoor's Vagina

Anish Kapoor's latest load of rubbish is called Dirty Corner (2015) and rears its ugly head in the grounds of the French palace of Versailles. The yawning centrepiece of this installation thingy Kapoor explained in a French interview signifies "the vagina of the queen coming into power". Presumably he referred to Marie Antoinette, the 18th Century queen of France, who lived in the palace of Versailles. He later tried to retract his explanation. Visitors have described the work as "dirty" and "gross" (CLICK).
