Snoopy Flying Ace
Here's the best example of "minimalist art" ever: Snoopy, a white breast with a black nipple and various doggie bits attached! Peanuts must count as one of the most popular art forms in the world, having been published in 2,600 newspapers in 75 countries to 355 million readers. Beat that, Picasso! If you're in the States, click the title link for details of Snoopy As The World War I Flying Ace at the R.W. Norton Art Foundation in Shreveport, a new exhibition which continues until 8 October 2006. There's also an online slide show.
