Kick Hate Crime

As Coxsoft Art reported on the Gay Police Association shocker against homophobic hate crime, I thought I should show you the new official Metropolitan Police poster, which features one of the world's first gay rugby teams: the Kings Cross Steelers. Presumably these guys are the roughest, toughest, butchest bunch of gays the Met. could find. Poof-bashers, don't even think about it! (Note for Yanks: these guys play in shorts, not in crash helmets and body armour!) The poster scores a few points, but artistically it falls flat on its face. It's that type of unimaginative, boring official poster you walk past without giving it a first glance, let alone a second. Consider the missed opportunity for using a dramatic shot of a rugby tackle, maybe a player getting his gumshield knocked out. The GPA shocker smacked you in the eye and made you think. This one doesn't. Met., you need the GPA designer.
